Welcome to the ABVD mRNA Training Week

A 5-Day Immersive Learning & Laboratory Experience

We are excited to welcome you to ABVD’s intensive, hands-on training program focused on modern mRNA design, synthesis, and purification workflows. This week blends expert-led instruction with real laboratory practice to give every participant a strong foundation in end-to-end mRNA manufacturing.

Program Overview

Below is a high level overview of the training course, covering the mRNA topics we’d be going forward. the subject and activities that you’ll be covering.

Two 4-hour structured learning blocks each day, led by industry-experienced instructors.

You will explore core concepts essential to mRNA manufacturing, including:

  • mRNA biology and design principles
  • IVT (in-vitro transcription) fundamentals
  • Capping, poly-A tailing & stabilizing modifications
  • LNP formulation concepts
  • Quality control, analytics & regulatory considerations

You will transition fully into the lab for hands-on experimentation, focusing on:

  • Capped vs. Uncapped mRNA synthesis
  • Purification workflows (spin columns, magnetic beads, or TFF depending on setup)
  • Basic QC assays and integrity checks
  • Proper RNase-free technique & controlled-workflow practice

These sessions are highly interactive and guided by ABVD technical staff to build confidence in real-world mRNA processes.
